Obligatory New Years Post
Jan. 1st, 2019 05:29 pmIt's the new year so here's what I'm planning on doing.
-Finish Revali Cosplay
-Finish Urbosa Cosplay (sans wig)
-Make Yukata
-Find New Job
-Keep up with Colors_TCG
-Go to more Meetups...even though they're in SF.
-Get better at time management
-Get better at cooking so I spend less time doing it
-Dissect and understand how my creative processes work
-Work on self introspection
-Acknowledge I hate messing up, hate looking stupid, and hate that I hate my inability to acknowledge my mistakes. Ultimately become okay with being a human/making mistakes. It seems my current unhealthy mindset is to become as robotic as possible and to eliminate any emotion. This has, so far, not been working for me. To be irrational is to be human, to laugh and cry and complain and rejoice and rage are human. To swallow everything to the point that nothing effects you and so that you can become highly efficient is not only impossible, it has very nasty side-effects and really helps no one. I'mma try to remember that this year.
So, I'll be happy if I get like...3 of these. It's a pretty daunting list and half of these have no set metric of success.
Happy New Year me...let's get to work at a nice, less stressful, pace. Because the last thing I need is to fall asleep even earlier than I already do.
If all goes well hopefully I will stop nodding off at like 10PM.
Good luck to any and all who have New Years goals or just...are striving to be better, happier, people.
